Great vibe on the dance floor with our return to play at the Special Olympics Fundraiser at the Armidale Bowling Club.
Special for two reasons: 1) our 13 year old guitarist - David Julian - (student of Massiel's) got to play with us and officially perform his first show. 2) this was to be the last public function for the Special Olympics due to new Covid-19 restorations. Huge effort great dinner show and a memorable crowd. Jon Anderson, Massiel Barros-Torning, David, John K, Peter Georkas. Credit: Peter Torning our photographer.

One of the best set-ups having the two stages, allowed a regular flow of music. We were well sheltered by the wind. Something we've had to deal with the last few weeks with the gust of dust, surrounding bushfires.
Today is a special day because it marks three weeks we've performed in a row! What a terrific show of people at Black Gully this year with a massive afterparty expected at Impies tonight. This will be our second gig playing for drought relief. Sadly the drought has not broken from the last 12 months when we first played in September 2018!
Aiming to support community members from the Harnham, BOZO, or Winterbourne Landcare Group areas, or Kentucky, Wollun, Uralla, Walcha, or Woolbrook, join Southern New England Landcare for a night out to:
Down tools and join with friends, To take some time off from the dry, RAMHP will run a short show, With tips for when your stress is high Bring the kids and dance with us, In faith for water from the sky. Fat What a fabulous evening playing our favourite songs and there was dancing! Special thanks to the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program - RAMHP for their generous help and support looking after the New England Region. We had a wonderful time playing our favourite tunes. We had a special guest Paul Robertson join us on guitar and bass. Great photos taken by Peter Torning of all the things happening like face painting, the most YUMMY food by Fat Butcher BBQ and some self care tips from RAMHP. Uralla NSW comes to life with a massive street parade meeting at the heart of Alma Park. This year PANTOR were the main music act playing our fun, vibrant, eclectic tunes from different genres and even a little world music to brighten the day. PANTOR kicked off early because there were so many people already eager to enjoy a splendid day. We were playing by 11 am to 3.30 pm. By the end of the afternoon the weather kicked up a dust storm. We all headed to the New England Brewery to celebrate a nice shower of much needed rain. We brought the rain that day! Great way to spend a Saturday night with live music at the Impies Great crowd and there was dancing in a night that was freezing outside! After an interesting afternoon of sound checking by Jon, we quickly swapped systems. Something quite special about the set up at the Implies, it's a great stage and a roaring fire. Would love to go back there to perform again soon.
PANTOR were amongst a room full of legends at the award celebrations hosted by Special Olympics North West New England. They sure know how to rock the dance floor! What a terrific night of music, fun and celebration. It was a night to remember for all the enthusiasm and fun shared. We had special visitors from Japan and participants from Canberra to Coffs Harbour, Armidale and beyond. Photo credit: Peter Torning — at Special Olympics North West New England. Armidale Bowling Club Auditorium 7.30 pm Saturday 9th March 2019 Another fabulous event at the wonderful Makers Shed. With our unique eclectic sounds and latin twist on our favourite tunes, we had a lovely crowd entertained in the courtyard. Peter Georkas in good form on electric guitar, voice and bazouki, Jon Anderson doing voice and bass guitar, John Kellet voice, percussion and djembe, and Massiel Barros-Torning voice, and guitar in Spanish and English. Pantor had a special guest Angelo Saavedra playing panpipes (zampoñas), Charango (10 stringed lute) and Cajon (the percussion box). If you've not yet visited, you're going to love the wonderful creative space and variety of workshops.
9.30 am to 12.30 pm in 20 minute intervals. PANTOR brought a good vibe to what started off as a misty, cold morning. Turned into a fun and energetic day with a fine performance by Peter Georkas on guitar and special guest Angelo Saavedra doing some Andean Songs as well as some rythems on the Cajon. Massiel Barros-Torning (guitar and voice) sang her heart out and was joined by the wonderful students performing in the upcoming play OLIVER at TAS (The Armidale School) later starting 21st March 2019. Big hit dedicated to the teachers was "Stand By Me" and "La Bamba". Some of the feedback was wonderful:
Out photographer Peter Torning captured some amazing moments.
